one thing that pisses me off is alot of these ppl have a profile with no picture. ok ppl i can understand some ppl that dont have the proper no how or tools. but theres so many that choose not to show face. come on more then anything this is a dating site show your self dont be afraid or ashamed .there should be a banned for this i mean think about it the person you are conversating with is the person really a guy or girl or pervert! you would never really know it just urks me .THIS POST IS FOR ALL THE PPL WHO SHOW FACE STAND UP AND JOIN ME!!!!or at lease they can give them 2 or 3 days to find someone or learn the no how if not they should be banned i personnally dont want to talk to a 26 year old women with a penis

a photo posted doesn't necessarily guarantee that it is an accurate reflection of the person.

do you know how many people i know personally, and stories i've read, by people who've met someone and their photo looks nothing like ones they've posted?

if a person interests you, i'd suggest a cam chat, as quick as possible. most people have one. if not, they are only about $20 for a cheap one at wal-mart. if they aren't willing, or able, to buy one, i'd suggest you move on (or mail one to them).

i agree...pictures mean nothing...web cam chat once for a real view...married or not they can cam though...lol

If a picture paints a thousand words, then why are some people not the picture they've painted the more you get to 'know' them?

I agree cntrygirl2009, some people need to be very careful of over rating themselves in an online dating site, someone somewhere knows who they are.............

But man... my goodness! If you are not who you are in your profile then that is your problem and not mine. You are the one who is making a fool out of yourself. Since this is a dating site, it should be a requirement to have at least one real photo(ugly, studly or homey whatever for that matter). And if your interest is to just chat on forum.. fine! states that in your profile or if you just want friends then spell it out on your profile.. be honest about it..Most people here I think wants to meet someone and the first steps is to see who you are and go from there... There~ my 2cents... I will shut up now!

I have gone to about 30 meetings with people from various sites.

In majority of cases the photo has been a FAIR representation. Notice word fair. I did not say true or exact or close likeness.

In one occasion The woman had posted Brandy Taylor a porn Star (I didn't know that fact then) and when I met her she was spitting image of Mrs. Doubtfire. It is funny now but it was not funny then.

I am not so keen on webcams because of other intonations to which it may be associated with. Example of question "So you are looking at other women on your webcam?) or (What other things you do on your webcam?)

For now my policy is no photo no reply at all.

The rest I guess I take a risk and as I said most pictures in my case turn to be FAIR so my policy is FLASH or TRASH

well, all of my pics are current and i dont really talk to many people who dont have a pic on their profile. i do want to know who i am talking to. but i look at this as more a social website, i have made alot of friends in the last several months, met a few minglers (all who looked just like their pics) but have not met anyone who wanted to date.

i agree, no one needs anyone else's approval (except the owners of the site). since it's okay to join this one without a picture, then you have that right.

however, if you're looking to date, i can guarantee that a profile with a photo gets far more interest and mail than one without.

attraction is based on more than just words on a profile.

Get over yourself, nobody owes you anything. People have many reasons for not posting a pic, and it has nothing to do with you.
If after a bit of conversation ask for one, if they don't want to show themselves, move on.
