Topic: The Start Of The Second American Revolution?

Just in case someone thinks I agree with the OP...

I do not believe it is yet time for revolution...

But I absolutely believe in the evolution of the great nation I call home.

Peopled with wonderful people...

From sea to shining sea.

Time for that change we wanted...

Congress best start acting like they actually represent ME.
WE
You
and I.

And how can they actually represent you and I when you and I want different things. That was the whole point to the Obama plan, you get to keep your insurance and I get the Obama plan. But that isn't what you want, right? Or am I missing something? I certainly don't trust that the health industry that has gotten away with murder for decades is going to look out of me or you it appears.

I have yet to see wreckless, out of control of themselves, speaking that which they do not know to boot, screaming people make a point worth waiting for.

Like my other thread, I watched them on the news and they were spouting nothing but untruths and propaganda. Nothing of value was coming out of their mouths. And it was being screamed in an uncouth manner to boot.

Not a valid response by informtion or action.

If we the people act like morons, we can hardly expect it in return.

It's not going to happen.. The gubment will declare martial law and send all dissenters to guantanamo bay..

Nope not yet...

First they will lie to the unions and try to get them the step in and intimidate... (wonder how many would actually try to intimidate free speach... being Americans themselves)

Martial law would ignite the powder keg they are sittin on.

I doubt they are that stupid.

Reckon its time for them to LISTEN. And speak truths with us.

 This whole thing is being exagerated a bit.:smile:Its a lot of talking heads on tv and radio and internet playing everything up:smile:Not a lot has actually happened besides a lot of talk:smile: Nothing new under the sun:smile:

Ah but sir...

That talk is occuring in quite impolite fashion IN the same place as a congressperson or senator is present.

They are not used to us speaking our mind... We've been spoiling them with politie ritual...

Now we are not.

So something is new under the sun... and it might bring about real change...

In those that govern us. By our command. At our best interests and not theirs.

 I have been watching this news stuff everyday for many years now. Always the theatrics.drinker It never ends:smile:Don't get your hopes uplaugh

This is not true unless the Americans are presumptuous. I think they may get off track and need some guidance from us sometimes but I do not assume they are idiots. It gives them an advantage over us to assume so.

I am a disabled vet... My insurance won't change. (i hope).

Your missing the point... fix the current system... set fair guidlines for insurance and health.

but DO NOT borrow from my nations future.

Such a course is shear folly!

How come you weren't saying that before Bush borrowed from your nations future for an illegal war in Iraq?

Priorities?

This is something this nation needs badly to make us a stronger nation.

I was... I did not agree with Bush...

What we need to make us a stronger nation is for us to politely take the reins and trim this government.

Smaller government is a propaganda tool of the republican party which they have yet to accomplish or even act on, even when they were the majority in congress.

Bush did nothing but make it bigger too.

Propagand tool... I am certianly not a republican...

I don't care a whit which who put how much paper out...

It has become too much paper...

Way to much to be viable...

Wow. Not everyone who disagrees with Obama is a Republican or has a shrine to Bush.

Am I the only one who believes that it is not the governments job to give me what I want??? It isn't a magic lamp to rub; it is there to protect me, not to provide for me.

Truth be known no politician will ever truly be for smaller government because it undermines their position.

A safety net is a protection. An option that may be needed is protection.

Providing for a person in the sense of their very livelihood still applies for the disabled and elderly as a form of protection and support.

This is not a safety net.

It is anchored by paper to nothing and the abyss is directly below.

When we hit the net it will fall... Bringing us down with it.

A revolution never come with a warning, A revolution never send you an omen
A revolution just arrive like the morning, ring the alarm we come to wake up the snoring
They tellin you to never worry bout the future
They tellin you to never worry bout the torture
they tellin you that you will never see the horror
Spend it all today and we will bill you tomorrow
Three piece suits and bank accounts in Bahamas
Wall street crime will never get ya to the slammer
Tell all the children in the arms of the mamas the F-15 is a homicide bomber
TV commercials for a pop-A-pill culture
Drug companies circle in like a vulture
Amer-Iraqi babies with a GI Joe father,
ten years from now is anybody gonna bother..
Everyone addicted to the same nicotine, everyone addicted to the same gasoline, Everyone addicted to a technicolor screen, everybody trying to get their hands on the same green, from the banks of the river to the banks of the greedy, All the riches taken back by the needy
All the chit you given us is fertilizer....

It makes you wanna rebel, throw you hands up and take it to another level
