(But only after taking some artistic liberty to slaughter the words as well)

Why is it when we do something bad
we don't want anyone to know
Covering our tracks
Hiding the facts
we lie so people won't know

As guilty as it sounds we make ourselves appear,
in a sense, innocent
we're guilty of this
We are sure you don't know our closets
our bones, our skeletons, we hide

We are ashamed of what we love at times
we could die of emotional pain
Our only relief from unbearable grief
Is to know you're probably the same

Tippy toes patter
Glass hearts shatter
Pissing glass shards
Wishing so hard

No one will find out exactly who we are
we'll bury our skeleton's underneath the bar
drinking all the moonshine to wallow in our shame
and no one will ever know our name

You poetry inspired me to get the banjo out.

I should probably do that over again, it made a cute song!

I think it would go well with some extra singers and a fiddle.

I actually fiddle around with the fiddle some myself.

But trust me, you don't want to hear that.
