Topic: could be a scam? | |
---|---|
so before i go into any interview with any company i like to do some research to know what i could be getting in you.
so i typed the website for this company im applying for and when the website came up it came up as a malicious website!so i googled the company name up and first like said the company is a big scam! American Income Life Is A Scam? well this is the first time ive googled a job im applying for where the place has been called a scam! i found a state ment from a person who used to work for them " i was an employee of this company who relies on the inexperience of new agents to run this scam on union members and their friends (family). Many of the agents truly believe that they are helping out union members due to the fact that they themselves have been brainwashed. The objective is to get as many sales as possible regardless of what means they need to use. The agents will lie to the union members on the phone in order to book the appointments, and if they miscalculate the costs of a policy, they will simply leave products promised to them off of the policy. Though it is unethical, they will encourage people to drop their other policies for American Incomes more expensive policy. And when they are unsure of facts they make them up, including scaring people into believing that they will not have enough money for burial. The agents also sell products to people without making them aware of the fact that the products will change or drop off at a certain age. And falsely advising them on policies that they are unfamiliar with." but thats not the only site i checked i check a few more links that said it was a scam incase she was a pissed of ex employee and now im like well maybe i should call and cancel? |

Yeah, I'd be careful with jobs that may be scams. I've had a few interviews for two different jobs in the same building. It felt suspicious to me...especially if I've never heard of the companies before. Any company dealing with insurance and you've never heard of them before, I consider them as a scam. Be careful.

I delete job offers from those places, they tell you can make 300k a year, but what they don't tell you is, you work on commission and your paycheck is a draw. If you have familiarity with car dealerships, you know what a draw is. Basically, they loan you your paycheck til you make money then they take it back. It's b.s. Run from them, you can do better.

read this!
I would not work there. But that's me. There is a good reason they have so many unhappy ex-employees. http://www.419legal.org/blog/2008/02/02/american-income-life-insurance-scam-or-not/ |

Be sure to check with the local BBB, and in every state there should be a site to check to verify if a name is even valid-
most of all use your good judgement and never drop your morals. |
