In some states it would be statutory rape until the boy is 18 -- so being in love and having sex with him are 2 different things. Could get really sticky for the 20 y/o girl.

Unless he is very mature or she is very immature, at some point they are going to grow apart. She will turn 21 and be able to go out drinking with friends, he will be 17 and not be able to go along, legally anyways, and will be jealous. She will want to party with her friends, he will be jealous of her going out with her friends. He will want to go out with his friends, she will become jealous of that too.

And, as she said above, what if she gets pregnant, how is he going to make enough money to support them when he is only 17 or so???

There are a whole lot of issues that can happen in this relationship.

love is a great thing...society is opening up more and more with these age gaps.. keep in mind at 20 your girl can go to jail if you were to start having sex. Something to think about.

People in our country usually don't approve of that. The 16 year is a kid in high school. Parents don't approve of that either. It's also against the law.

Whether it is consensual or not? if one party is over 18 and the other is not, you can go to jail, even if the younger one agrees to it.
The best thing to do is to try to love each other until you bother reach the legal age and can live as responsible adults.

Our society most likely will not accept that arrangement.

Dating and enjoying each others company would be fine. It could also get her into trouble if things get out of hand. In two or three years most people won't blink an eye about it.
