my friends want to do testimonials for me but they can't get into the site to write

are they not a member on the site and if there not. they have to join

It doesn't look like you have your testimonial on. go into edit profile. there will be an option to show testimonials. click on yes. then people should be able to add a testimonial

Hi, jomist3. What do you mean that they are not able to get into the site? Are they having problems registering? Or, are they not able to find the place to type in a Testimonial for you? If this is the case, you have to be Friends first. Once that is in place, they can click on the 'Add Testimonial' button in your profile.
