A thought hit me reading the deal or no deal thread, I was wondering about smokers vs non-smokers. Would you not date someone because they did or did not smoke, I mean if you are a smoker, would you tend to date someone faster if they also smoked? Or conversley if you are a non smoker would you be less likly to date someone who smoked?
I smoke and to me it really does not figure into anything. Just wondering your opinions. |

I am a smoker,I would date someone,either way,as long as they did not mind,that I smoke.
A lot of people do not like smokers though, that is why I made sure to put it in my profile.

I've never smoked a cigarette in my life, but I don't have any problems dating a smoker.
From a strictly health-based standpoint, I would naturally prefer that they try to quit, but it's not a deal-breaker. My last gf smoked a lot, and felt bad about it. She would actually go outside rather than smoke in front of me, no matter how many times I told her it didn't bother me. |

I don't smoke. However, I would date a smoker if I really liked them.

I stopped smoking,so now I have to say that I wouldn't date a smoker.It now bothers me to much.

Dating a non-smoker for me is good, because I generally smoke less around non-smokers. Dating a smoker is OK too. Dates that like to drink are a different story. |

ive smoked off and on for a while now, i wouldnt care if my love interest was a smoker or not
nonsmokers tend to be more anal about it though i would imagine. everyone has bad habits, the only difference is that most of the other ones take time to realize while people can judge you based on your smoking or not right off the bat. yeah i may smoke now and then, but if you whipe your eyeslime on the floor or something you have a far more disgusting habit than i IMO. |

hmm i am a smoker but i only smoke out doors not in the house and not in the car i would rather date either a non smoker or one that follows those same rules

I am a smoker also, but preferencs doesn't matter to me I am not going to jump at someone just because they smoke. If I date a non smoker that is simple I just don't smoke while I am with a non smoker, I respect their feelings about smoking. I am who I am and will one day quit. If you judge me for smoking then just move on.

I'm an ex smoker so I wouldn't date a smoker. My lungs have been clear for 20 + years so I don't want to be around it. JMO
