There are a number of elderly care facilities DYING for qualified workers! There is a new retirement senior care facility opening in Redondo Beach off of Artesia Blvd near Green Ave. Also there is a retirement facility being built on Western on the back side of Palos Verdes. That one is still under construction but the one in Redondo Beach is almost done and I think they are hiring. You may have to jump now to get your foot in the door because jobs go very fast here.

Hey guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just an update on my situation now... Thank you for the info. I put ads online and I had agreat part time job and this family pays me 20/hrs but I work with his mom. my work is to walked her every afternoon if the weather is cool and gave her a shower. I am still looking for a permanent work. I pretty much familiar with wide area in Los Angeles . Easy to familiarized and one thing I noticed, gas is not really bad if you know where to get cheap gas.

Los Angeles! Awesome! I am making more money here than in Louisiana. Imagine...I only work part time compare in full time at Louisiana....

Thanks a lot!!!

I am not exactly sure but these are the local community colleges and locations:

Santa Monica College:
Santa Monica CA.
Most reasonably priced unit for unit.
Good Support Services
More transfer oriented
PARKING AND TRAFFIC ARE A HEADACHE!

El Camino College:
Torrance CA
Decent School
More transfer oriented
Parking and traffic are not as bad.
Support is time consuming but they have decent support services.

East and West LA College (LA College)
Inglewood, Culver City respectively
Lots of trade programs
nothing spectacular
Support is ok.
Parking and traffic are not bad.

Harbor College
Harbor City/ San Pedro
More of a trade tech with some focus on transfer
parking is pretty dang good and traffic is not bad at all.
Decent school.

All of these schools have internet enrollment. You can look them up on the internet and CALL THEM AND ASK IF YOU DON'T SEE IT LISTED! they might be able to point you to the right school. My money is on Harbor College but I would not rule out the others. All schools are listed as Community Colleges. If you are looking for a higher degree then there is:

Long Beach College
CSU Long Beach
Long Beach CA

Cal State Dominguez
Dominguez CA (Carson)

UCLA in LA

and USC

Those are at least the state ones...

Santa Monica College would be the best to speak with first though. they have great councilors when I was going there at least!

Good Grief,

Sounds like my old stomping grounds of Hawthorne. Know that 405 freeway well.....until I got out of there in 82. Saw that 405 at ElSegundo Bl. back up on schedule every day. Sometimes it wouldn't backup until Rosecrans, but that was on a good day.
