And why? Mine is the short story 1408, because it creeps you out before the action even starts.

I could never stand the Dark Tower, I really don't know why, but apparently I'm missing out.

IT was my favorite. And Needful Things. And The Stand. I'm still reading the last Dark Tower book. I love all his books. Why? Because he wrote them.

desperation, dark half, black house, drawing of the three are my fav. S.K. books. The long walk (written as richard bachman) is the ultimate in mental dedication and inner turmoil.

Alright, my favorite is a book he wrote with Peter Straub. I love the way Jack "flips" and all the things that happen to him.

The Talisman

The Dark Tower series is very deep and complex, especially if you read all the other books that are related to, but disconnected with, the series, including such books as The Stand, Eyes Of The Dragon, and so forth. Many of his books reference the Roland character in one way or another.

I like many of his novellas, such as Apt Pupil, or The Last Rung On The Ladder, and many others. As far as books go, I like virtually everything he has written, with few exceptions. Can't really pick a favorite, per se, but I did enjoy The Green Mile and Thinner quite well. Other works, such as Blaze, I just couldn't get into. That's not to say it wasn't a good book, I just didn't much care for it.

Even though The Regulators wasn't as good as Desperation, I loved how it tied in with it.

I also have a book- Secret Windows: Essays and Fiction on the Craft of Writing.

It has two stories he wrote when he was like 11 and 12 for his older brother's neighborhood newspaper.
