Nope. Not goin' to Burnin' Man, and I don't plan to. I'm just not into those "mind-expanding" kinds of activities.

Awesome!
See you there!
I'll see you at the Boobie Bar, Tuesday at 2pm!

I got home from my Burning Man trip last Monday night, and I must say, it was the most fun I have ever had in my life!

If anyone out there feels the need to shake up their routine and become their authentic self, or something different, without any judgments or criticisms for a week, I highly recommend going to Burning Man next year.

It is truly a life-changing experience!

Cheers ~Lisa

My buddies in Santa Fe have been trying to get me to go to Zozobra for years. I meant to go to Burning Man this year but have been too busy to get away. Maybe next year. Both look like a ton of fun.

Burning Man is in a very very hot desert.

It's true-Burning Man is in a very warm location. The days can get hot, but if you plan well, you will be fine.
I don't know anything about the other festival you mentioned...I'll have to look into it. Do they allow any retail sales? One plus about Burning Man is that you don't need to worry about purchasing anything except ice for your cooler while you're there. I enjoy a week of not being expected to buy things.

Well "buy" is a relative term. Most people barter and everyone is expected to bring everything they need. I was going to bring plenty of food and drinks and swap them for fun and to make friends.

Duh! There are a lot of people at Burning Man and lots of them are flakes, nuts, you name it. Fun is where you find it and how you make it. Burning Man is a great opportunity to have some original fun, see a lot of interesting people and enjoy a ton of art. There are also a LOT of non-art groups there also dealing with science and environmental issues as well and beer, belly dancing and probably beer belly dancing.

Where is Burning Man?

They create a temporary "town" in the middle of the Nevada Black Rock desert each year for the event. I would have to check my emails for sure but I think it is about 100 miles north of Las Vegas. The website has lots of information.
