Dark so sorry for your pain. The helpless feeling is pretty common.

Looseing someone is not a pain that goes away quickly so you will have plenty of time to be a comfort for your loved one.

Right now she is probably so stunned she won't remember who is talking to her right now. The people who really count are the ones that are there for the long run after all the usual stuff that happens up front.

Take your time and write her a letter and go when you can. Lot of prayers will go with you then and through these next days.
