Well, I know I could never live on a farm and eat the animals I raised.
It'd have to be a chicken farm or a dairy farm.

Hypocritical of me to say that, perhaps, because I do eat meat...but
there's a big difference between eating a "specific" animal and one with
whom you're not "personally acquainted."

My dogs can't verbalize what they want, but they communicate
nonetheless. Dahlia, especially, has shown on numerous occasions that
she understands, quite well, what I'm saying.

Some people think that dogs have the intellect of a three-year-old
child. She certainly seems to. And even Kohl, who is not quite as
"smart," shows he understands most of what I say.

Of course, I'd never eat my dogs, regardless.

They would first say how stupid humans are for trying to take care of
them. They would say stop treating me like a baby.

it's beyond me to view animals as "meat". when i see a steak, i don't
see food...i see dead, chopped up, bleeding animal.

i'm not able to remove it...and haven't been able to do so since i was a
child. probably why i AM a vegetarian.

My Tallulah does talk...she communicates very well what she wants, what
she is feeling and what she is thinking...it may be in "wookie talk"
laugh but over the last two years (I've had her since she was 4-weeks
old) I have learned quite well how to understand here...she is quite
clear if you listen to her flowerforyou
