pigs in a blanket is what we call them. normally the have sausage in them, but we make em with hot dogs.

Pigs in blankets can go either way. I think basically it's some sort of pork product wrapped in something. Speaking of too salty. My mom used to make cheesy wienies when we were kids, hot dogs stuffed with cheese then wrapped in bacon. (might help explain the size of my butt)!
