Just wanted to warn people, that if you're closet door ever picks a fight with you...just run.


It's one of things that's just so stupid, that if it didn't hurt like hell, it would be funny...well it kind of is anyway actually.

I was getting a shirt out of my closet earlier because I was getting ready to go out shopping, and as I was closing it (they are full-length sliding mirrored doors), just as it hits the edge, I feel it hit my finger and hear a loud snap. Beautiful...swelled up, felt like it was on fire, throbbing. Now it's got a splint on it, hurts like hell.

Just thought I would share.

beware of meatloaf too....I had one attack me when I opened my frig and broke my toe

Ouch! Never done that with a closet door, but I've done it twice with a car door. Once the kind that opens and once a sliding van door. Van door is much more painful, lol.

I've heard of the turkey doing that, but never the meatloaf...it's a conspiracy.

Believe it or not, I think that almost everyone has done it in a car door at least once, but I don't think I ever have.

I know walls are evil too. I swear one jumped in front of me the other day and I ran smack into it...and I was completely sober too

ugh,my old house had an office with a raised entry... that was only about an inch high. I split my toenail on the damn thing at least a dozen times.

Or rabbit cages. I was feeding and watering my daughter's rabbit a few weeks ago, had my arm stuck in it to the back to put its dishes back inside, and my small hoop earring got caught on the cage door. Nobody was here but me, and I was like...uh, bunny, a little help here...nothin'...just kept eatin.

OUCH! My closet door and I fight when it decides to jump tracks. It's very difficult to squeeze into a closet stuffed to the gill with clothes and put a door 3 feet or so taller than you back in the tracks!!

Omg, my older daughter did that, she was 22 at the time, at a doctor's office, just couldn't help it, busted out laughing, and she started laughing. The nurse turned around and looked at us like we were crazy.

my mom got a wonderful bday present right on her birthday
she was doing something by the counter and she heard her fingers pop as to find out not only did she brake her fingers she broke her dang hand


my mom is 74yrs old and still works 40hours a week
but she cant work with one hand so she has to wait to see the doc again

That's what mine are-on tracks...usually, lol. They are like a little over 6 feet tall, I'm 5' 2'', and they are mirrored and heavy, but I was sliding it shut and it got me.

My mom just turned 80 on June 20th. She fell a couple weeks before that, over the cat, and broke her foot in four places. She has healed nicely though, thank God.

That had to hurt.

My child broke their finger when they slammed the car door on it. I had to write all of the homework. lol

Oh, what I'm dreading is my daughter's final report. I home school my kids, and was starting her final report...9-12 pages long, now it's going to take longer. Plus I was going to finish the renovations on the new house this month now that lessons are over.
