Well, we have all had TV shows we liked at first but then something eventually went wrong and it falls out of our favor.

For instance there was the Cartoon "Drawn Together." It was pretty funny at first and quite wrong in many ways. Eventually though it turned way too Homosexualcentric. I mean it got WAY too gay in the wrong way. The subtle and not so subtle innuendo and the occasional blatant reference was funny but then the male characters all began to really "explore." On top of that the women also went on the way of the Rainbow. That alone quickly made me loose interest. it was a show with potential that got shot to hell. Sucks for Drawn Together.


So what are other shows that came on strong and petered out with a whimper?

"The X-Files" comes to mind. It was a complete and total hit for much of its run, until around the tenth season or so when moved back to L.A. from Canada where the show was originally shot. It was almost like the show just got incredibly lazy after that.

Ally McBeal had some really good comedy, until the last season or so when she got stupid.

The escapades with John and the frog and the remote control flushing toilet, and his secret hiding room, then they had Anne Heche on there with her Tourette's, some of it was hysterical. When they had the frog on life support, and then they went to the Chinese restaurant and he asked them to take the frog into the back and "give it something to eat" and instead the "made it into and entree" - they really ran with the frog for many episodes. I lost interest in the last season though.

I was hooked on the X-files too, but lost interest towards the end too.

really? because my gay best friend really didn't like that show mainly because it was crap writing.

but hey.. everyone has their preferences.

they always cancel the shows i love and leave the crappy redundant ones on for like ever.

dirty sexy money.. loved it.

the one about the girl who lived in niagra falls .. loved it.

canceled.

My TV just went bad...like three minutes ago.

Been getting these warnings that channels would not be available on TVs that were not connected to digital devices after July 6th. Well, it just went down. There went my...ahem...free cable.

Guess I gotta go get some rabbit ears now. AND a friggin' digital converter box.

The entire History channel is crap anymore. Ice road Truckers, Ax men blah blah oh and the discovry channel as well and the learning channel. So many (man-dramas) its like a soap oprah or big time wrestling it makes one wonder what is real in these reality shows and what is contrived for the cameras. I can honestly say if I didnt have kids I would ditch the tv totaly.
