Well... I'm not gonna go so far as to say THAT, but I WILL say that I have to shake my head ( ) at those who claim to be "God-fearing Christians" who turn around and commit to some pretty cold-hearted crap on people.

Take a job I did back around five years ago- I did some effects for a Christian-themed bio-pic that shot in Panama. The producers and stuff were some Christians from Oklahoma who claimed that they were a "non-profit" operation, and that they were making the film "for god".

The film was about some events that took place in Equador back in the fifties, where some Missionaries tried calming down some natives who were killing off Shell Oil workers who were drilling for oil off the coast. And all I can say is that the four-and-a-half months we spent out there were a total fiasco.

They screwed us out of our "per diem" (per day living expenses, which they're pretty much required to pay up on when filming out of state or out of country)... they screwed us on our days per week (we ended up working through a couple of weekends where we WEREN'T supposed to be workin')... they even screwed me out of my worker's comp insurance when I took a fall and messed up my hip during production.

The WORST was when they liquidated their non-profit the second they finished production and moved all the rights to their movie to a FOR-profit one, thus wiping clean any liabilities they had to their creditors (they boned a lot of people out of their money, just so you know).

So I look at "god fearing" types with consternation and suspicion when they try to lay their pro-religion business on me.
