..is what we grew up on; back in the 1950's and 1960's. Maybe, once-in-a while we would have chicken, for sunday's lunch. What did you all grow up eating??

Sunday mornings started with mom, nonah, and aunts starting to cook @ 7am While the opra played. Food was an all day affair Homade pasta Homemade sauce Homemade bread Fresh cheeses Spumante Cannoliis Things are not the same! |

summertime meant...watermelon..popsicles...cornonthecob...potato salad..hotdogs..and going for icecream...summer-kid-food.

Lady I know spoils me with the BEST Peach pie, I have ever eaten.
Only makes it when the peaches are just perfect. FRESH PEACH PIE Crust: 1 1/2 c flour 1/2c oil 1/2 tsp salt 2 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp milk Mix well. Press into pie pan. Bake at 400 for 5 min. Then350 for 10 minutes. cool Filling 1/2 c sugar 3 tbsp corn starch 2 tbsp white Karo syrup 1 c water Mix well. Boil until thick & clear. Stiring constantly. Remove from heat. Add 2 tbsp peach jello. Stir & cool, slightly. Add 6-7 sliced fresh peaches. Stir & pour into crust. Refrigerat for at least 3 hrs. This pie is to die for. |

So that is what I do. Just like somethings better than others, how I treat ladies also. |
