move without losing 90% of my stuff. 
I had my stuff stored at a family members house in their basement and it got flooded, I lost most of everything I had. I did manage to save a few of my books though. Oh well, it's only stuff. 
I feel ya, I lost a lot of stuff moving around constantly. Clothes, my guitars  , a lot of CD's and movies among some DVD's. Miss my guitars the most.

i typically don't lose anything during a move. i still have halloween candy from 1983. it's pretty tasty.
what's my secret? i'm extremely meticulous about packing, i never leave my stuff in someone else's care and i do 99% of the grunt work myself because i don't want anybody else loading my trucks. when i see people side-loading a pickup it makes me want to puke. there's a reason the tailgate folds down

i know how you feel, i lost everything i owned a couple years ago. however, now i have too much stuff again, so some things can be replaced.
