Southen Oregon woman blows a .35 DUII

YONCALLA, Ore. -- The Oregon State Police arrested a Sutherlin woman accused of driving with a blood-alcohol level of more than four times the legal limit.





Radio station KQEN of Roseburg reports that troopers were preparing to stop 48-year-old Kimberly Weaver this weekend when she crashed on a road between Yoncalla and Oakland in Douglas County.

Here is an excerpt frm the KQEN story:

Weaver was reportedly travelling between 90 and 100 miles per hour from Rice Hill early Saturday morning when she overtook a car between Yoncalla and Oakland.

Oregon State Police troopers were getting into position to catch the drunk driver when she crashed near milepost 146.

According to an OSP report, Weaver struck the rear of the car, causing it to leave the interstate and roll. After the collision, Weaver's Mercury Mystique crossed into the northbound lanes, went across the off ramp at the 146 interchange and took out the exit sign

Her car continued across the ditch, through a fence and across Isadore Road before coming to a stop. Weaver was reportedly combative with EMTs on the way to the hospital and with hospital staff. It took an order from the District Attorney to obtain a legal blood draw which came out to .349.
Weaver faces charges of drunk driving, reckless driving, reckless endangering, criminal mischief and driving with a suspended license.

Whatever. That's really not that surprising. I went to an inpatient rehab facility and hearing these things was at least a once per week event.

Really, at .35 I'm surprised she was conscious enough to drive. That's pretty extreme.
