our bathroom at work has a hand sanitizer dispencer. So after i wash my hands I always get a hand full of foam to use after I touch the bathroom door. I also have sanitizer at my desk for sneezing or before I grab a snack.

I hate being in a public restroom and hearing someone leave without washing their hands. whats worse is trying to figure out how to open the door without touching it One of my rules is that if a door has an obvious place for pushing, I will push a few hands above that. It gets you away from the majority of the germs(especailly those originating from the rugrats). |

It gets you away from the majority of the germs(especailly those originating from the rugrats). Paper towel on the handle after you have washed your hands. And you can use a paper towel to push the door open or I use my elbow or foot to push or hold it open so I don't use my skin in contact at all with the door. (I work in a hospital and they have had some nasty viruses run around, sent us through mandatory handwashing training, etc.) This is my take on it. Also after washing your hands with soap and water use your paper towel to turn the water off, don't touch the faucet with your clean hands. I also have sanitizer gel on my desk and a bottle of the wipes (the hospital issues them). I read an article about how people can pick up flu viruses at gas pumps, too, hadn't even thought of that one. |
