      Turn off the danged caps lock...some of us have just started our day....I can bloody hear you all the way over here. 
    
As to the iron.....heat it up....get a scourer, and dip the scourer in fresh water, and scrub it....it isn't friggin rocket science....

CLEAN AS IN THAT STICKY STUFF NEEDS TO COME OFF.....LOL         
Just warm, run it a few times over a vinegar soaked rag, then rinse,if still sticky, again just warm..run it over wax paper then over a dry rag. To keep it from getting sticky.... wash the cloths before ironing them

      This had to be the funniest, yet most pointless thread I've read in quite a long while.  
 
  PS You can clean an iron with napalm effectively, but the the plastic parts tend to vaporize.  |

      I don't use one anymore threw mine out 
    .I now use a steamer.I just love it  .u should buy one.U also  save on  dry cleaning bills.
