The #1 team in the world, toting a 35-game win streak, goes down to the "Yanks." How the heck did that happen?
Long live soccer ... and hot soccer moms. |

No worries, I keep trying to save NT5 but it just doesn't want to stay alive There's no one left I think, so I gave up. We only had like 10 people to start. |

The #1 team in the world, toting a 35-game win streak, goes down to the "Yanks." How the heck did that happen? Long live soccer ... and hot soccer moms. Just a quick "fix" 35-game unbeaten streak, 15 game win streak, and Confederation Cup Scoreless Streak, all broken by the USA! |

Also of note: The US played a man down due to Bradley's red card with about 15 minutes to go and still managed to cling to the lead. They were obviously out-classed in skill but made up for it in heart. I just hope they don't get wiped out by Brazil in the final (assuming Brazil is there). |

hello CBnice to see you

The US sent notice to the world today, with the 2-nil win, but to really send a message, the US needs to go out there and do it again.
The US has a slight advantage going into the Final, since they have an extra day of rest(the other semi-final is tomorrow) The Biggest question will be whether or not the US can keep this level of play up. I sure hope so. |

I sure hope so. I agree but Brazil is so fit and deep that I think our slight advantage is offset. The US just needs to avoid a let-down, so we can get some people pumped for the Cup next year ... also played in RSA, which may be quite useful as an advantage. Our defense played well today. If we could get some help from the strikers and guys out wide in controlling the ball, we might be fairly hard to score upon as the defense will stay fresh. Howard was a stud in net as well today. He needed that win for confidence for sure. |

Hey Tina love. How are ya' darling? I'm peachy ... I'm all domesticated and well-behaved now. I'm still allowed to hit on you though. It's in my pre-nup. |

I hope the USA does keep it up, as i'd like the sport to become properly respected over there.
