terrified

teary-eyed


they hear
me cry

not asking
why

you are there

and I am here

where you
left me
and her
here

as you
disapeared

in fear
there

or here

where here
is where
we care

and there
we do
not share

the truth

you took
the dare

to live
free

suffering

hermiting

unsmothering

teaching
me how

to be
so unloving

The choice of how one incorporates what is learned is the student's. Flip that lesson around, turn it upside down and see if a better use cannot be found.
