I am also a huge Corey Taylor fan (see Chickenfoot post) and I think he would bring a lot to any band that suits his vocal style.

He is quite different from Scott Weiland and their total vibe would change but I would be open-minded!

Edit -- he was also rumored to be the new lead for Anthrax which didn't happen. He has a lot on his plate.

I'm a huge Viking fan and the Brett rumors kill me -- now this too?

I am a fan of Slipknot and Velvet Revolver. While I have enjoyed VR first two albums, I have always felt that Weiland was hold them back vocally. If the rumors are true I hope Taylor will brings a harder edge to the groups vocals.
I met Corey Taylor in Suncoast once here in Des Moines, funny cause I only worked there for a day. I didn't know who he was because at the time I wasn't a fan of Slipknot. We talked for a minute about the horrible D&D movie that came out in the late 90's.
