Being disabled, I'm used to scammers on the disabled sites I visit, but it really shocked me when it happened here. I never would have excpected it. Are there no good places left in the world? It seems everywhere I go people are trying to screw each other over. What ever happened to good old-fashioned values, principles and morals. I almost ashamed to call myself a member of the human species anymore.....Soory, had to vent.

Sorry it happened to you. But yes there are scammers on here too, not nearly as many as the other sites though. Please report the person(s) though, the adminstrators try to keep them off the site.

Don't let the jerk(s) ruin your opinion of the site, there are lots of good people on here so please hang around and give it a chance. Play in the forums so people get a chance to know you and you will meet the regulars.

I feel ashamed myself sometimes.
Unfortunately that crap happens everywhere, but our site is
really good about kicking the crap outta here.
Report them so they can be dealt with.

We all get hit by scammers on just about any site. Sorry they got to you here.

People just try to get whatever they can and if they don't have to work for it, the better they feel.....they are very troubled people.

Scammers are everywhere and will get whomever they can disability or not... It's going to be worse now that the economy is in the toilet.. I'm sorry you experienced it.. hopefully it was of the emotional sense and not money...

Thanks to all of you. I don't feel I need special treatment, it just seems the disabled are particularly singled out because we are seen as easy targets.

I think anyone with an open heart and mind are easy targets. Dont think it just happens to the disabled because it happens to everyone and everywhere.

I think it happens to us older women too. I have had 8 or so
e-mails just this weekend on another site from obvious scammers --
think I am the "blue plate special" for the scammers this weekend. Good grief. Just report them and don't let them get to you. Some of them are actually comical at times. Take care.

I am sorry that happened to you This site is pretty good about getting rid of the scammers when they are identified. You need to be sure to report the scammer.

Gypsy is right.. Adding to that or maybe even expanding on that.. Scammers go after those that seem vulnerable...

I never take it personally though.......I believe they try for everyone.

Not dealing with many, hardly any, abled bodied people since I lost my legs, I didn't realize how widespread it was. I apologize for the vent, but it does get old after awhile. Thank you all!
