Let me start by saying I hate all things creepy crawly....snakes, spiders, mice, oh my. Well, the exterminator left glue traps in my garage and when I went outside much later a lizard was stuck to it. Apparently, I hate watching things die more than I hate them creeping or crawling.

So, I tried to rinse him out, soap him out and cut him out. Then I used a flat head to pry him out. After much effort he was free but stuck to the screwdriver. Then thanks to Fetts61's suggestion, I used non acetone nailpolish remover to remove the glue and Herman (had to give him a name, we've developed a relationship afterall) lives to creep another day.

Thanks Lex, I doubt if Herman appreciated it but hopefully he will tell his friends of his horrible experience and they will learn to stay away from glue traps.

I wish I could say I would have done that , but instead I would have screamed my brains out!

We called those "skinks" when I lived in Georgia...they come in a lot of colors...I'm fond of the blue ones...& they are very helpful in the garden & near the home. I'd rather have a skink in my house than a bug...but hey...that's just me!

Watch out for the stinky skinks, they fart.

P, I looked it up and that is really their name. Herman is a skink, not just a lizard. And I agree bugs are gross but I like the lizards.
