jean--sorry I must have confused you. I work full time as a medical
transcriptionist now, from home. I made a trade off--low pay and no
benefits for easy dictation (dr office visits); the nationals are all
foreign doctors doing eye surgery, hospital visits. Been there, done
that. No way am I going back to that. No way! I am an transcriptionist,
not a translator.

Just so people know, a warning to you all--If you cannot understand your
foreign-born physician, neither can I, and your medical records will be
a mess. When a dr goes to refer to them in the future, when there is an
emergency, the past medical history your dr needs will be a garbled
mess.

<-----Love My Job
I have been a nurse for 24 years working in women's services (labor and
delivery, newborn nursery, postpartum) The last
seven years has been in management (nurse manager).
The bad part of it:
1) coming across people who donot have the same standards you do when
delivering patient care
2) some of the demanding family members
3) the stress

I don't have a crummy job... I love my job....I'm my own boss, I set my
own hours.. i get paid when I work...I'm hands on and the only person I
can blame if I do something wrong, is me. I'm always praised for what I
do.. and have NEVER had any complaints except when I'm booked on that
day and someone wants to be squeezed in.

Everyone ALWAYS is glad to see me.. and Everyone ALWAYS leaves feeling
100% better.
It makes me feel great that I have helped in healing so many people and
will continue to do so until I can do no more.

I'm a Massage Therapist and I love it!
