Biggest things I have handled in life? Nursing my mother through end stage cancer...had no idea i was as resilient as i was. Surviving being raped, and facing a jury and a pitt bull defense attorney...and telling my story. That was a doozy... I knew I was strong enough to manage it...I had never felt that strong in my life, until facing the rapist, and allowing everyone in that room know what he had done. |

<<<---<<<---Hit by a bus in that car Holy crap!!!!! Kudos to you Phuque2...and the medicos, and recue crew... Jess, even though my pain was intense, your pain is in the heart. You have become stronger by your actions against the pain maker. Peace, Mike |

Thankyou Star....and Mike....
We all have difficult things happen in our lives, and they either make us stronger, or we get lost in them. I chose strength over fear... I wanted my life back, and my personal power back... it wasn't easy, it was a tough time, but I made it through. Again, thankyou, both. |

Thanks everybody.
This was/is the 10th anniversary of my husband's death to cancer. I don't have to tell anyone who has seen that kind of thing what all it is you have to see and do. I took care of both parents since and were also with both of them when they coded as well. Three codes. Don't care to hear another one. There was a day, back when you get a stage 4 cancer diagnosis that I never would have believed I would still be standing today. But I am. I have had a lot of support. Thank you Mitch for your call today. Thank you Scotty for your note, and Dan for your email. A special thanks to Keith, without whom I would not be able to breathe. |

I made it through a day I never thought I'd reach. One I didn't want to reach for many reasons. One that I had dreaded. But, TA=DA! I am still standing. What are some of the biggest things you have handled that you simply did not think you could? Would you say you are stronger now, or that you just had strength you never knew you did? I recently made it through the 6th anniversary of my mother's passing because of cancer & kidney failure and it is amazing what healing & comforting power friends, prayer, and time have. Kudos to you Auburn! |

When my mother passed away end of 2007. It was a difficult moment of my life for me. I was so down and I isolated myself and without seeing all my friends for 1 year (I was mourning alone <-----my choice). My children helped me and played the most important role in my life to keep me going everyday. It's been 1 and half year since the passing of my mother and I am getting back to my normal routine again; seeing friends and going out with friends to have fun.

The day I didn't think I would ever make it thru was the day my oldest told me she wanted to move in with my ex-husband and if I would sign her out of school and let her go with him. I told her she could move in with him but she would have to transfer schools and continue to go. I felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest when I walked to her classes and signed the papers, I couldn't even finish doing it by myself. The school nurse had to walk me back to the office and hand in the papers.
Oh and congrats, {{{{{Connie}}}}} I can't imagine what that was like, but I am glad that you heard from some very special people today to help you through it! |

Late at night on May 2, 2006. I made the decision to have a drain tube removed from my wifes brain stem. Effectively ending her life. I have no idea how I kept any composure at all.

Kudos to the Mingle 2 family!! My father's death. My son going to Iraq. My daughter's divorce. Starting my life anew... Not as major as some, but important to me....used strength I didn't know I had. |

Since to leave us guessing I will make a guess.. You wore a chastity belt for an entire day!! believe me.. it was tougher on your Man than it was for you Second guess..You went to the mall with all of your credit cards in hand--and didn't buy anything |

Died and came back, then against insurmountable odds...I walked again. Learned math in a week, basic English skills in a week and a half, verbal communication in about a week, how to write/draw in two weeks. Not easy waking up and not knowing anything much less of how you got where you currenty are, even less easy is having a doctor tell you some of the fundamental things you had been doing for years...may no longer work. |

It is amazing isn't it, the things we can endure that seem unfathomable at the time. Each of your life struggles are as important as the next, because it's all relative to your situation at the time.
Lots of and hugs to all you fabulous people as you remember these trying days and also as you make new memories. |
