I like to use this when i make fruit pizza. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside. 2.In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into *****, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets. 3.Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Either shortbread and tea or swedish rye cookies and coffee...of course a white chocolate macidamia cookie is a stand alone! Swedish Rye? That sounds interesting. Oatmeal/almond cookies and black coffee. SWEDISH RYE COOKIES Ingredients: 1/2 c butter 1/4 c sugar 1/2 c rye flour 1 c all purpose flour 1/8 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 3 tbsp water Instructions: In a large bowl cream together butter and sugar. Stir in rye flour, all purpose flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well and add enough water to moisten dough. Roll dough out on a floured board (the thinner the dough the crispier the cookies will be, 1/4" is the thickest I would suggest). Using cookie cutters cut into various shapes. Place cookies on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 until slightly browned. YUM! |
