Okay, you've changed your OP. hmmmmm

I don't think anyone was trying to say you don't know anything. When I was 24 I married the man I loved, was out of college, and was busy having a good life. I think the lesson is just to be wise and listen to people who have already walked where you are, and add that to what knowledge you've acquired yourself.

Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, think I'll eat a worm!

Grow up, you want to be treated like a mature adult, quit acting like a spoiled brat. Best advice I ever got.

Well I repect that you guys are older but not all of us younger ones want to hear your opinions about everything...I mean you have lived in different times when you were our "age" and things change. Also, if we dont understand you older people than why is it that I see alot of older people with younger ones? What is up with that?

*shrugs*....suit yourself, but don't say you weren't warned or nobody tried to educate you. Indeed, times are VERY different today than they were back in our time. It's a very different world today. You young people of today have never known a world without AIDS, have never had to experience hard contact lenses, have never known only three channels of TV to choose from (with only a black-and-white TV, and if the President was on, your night was SHOT!), have never known having to wait until Saturday morning to watch cartoons (and they were only on from 6:00 a.m. until noon), never known a world without CD's, iPod's, the internet, cellphones, or texting. You have no idea "who shot J.R.", or even care who the hell J.R. was. You've never know the fear of waiting for Dad to get home from work so he could be told how you f*cked up that day, and he could beat your ass, because Dad was working and he did not carry a cellphone! You've never known a world without constant, instant communication with virtually anybody, anywhere, at any time. You've never know a world without this crap of "political correctness". Not every kid got a trophy. If you weren't good enough to make the team, you dealt with it and went home, and tried again next time. Kids of yesteryear did not sass off to their parents, and if they did, they got their ass in a sling for it (in one way or another). Parents, adults, and other elders were respected.

For all these things and many more, it may sound cliche', but you kids really have no f*cking clue how good you've really got it in today's world. The trouble with that is, you don't know any differently, so you don't know how to appreciate what you have. That's not necessarily your fault, it's OUR fault....SOCIETY'S fault. So don't think you know everything at the age of 24, because I can tell you for a FACT that there isn't a single one of us older folks out here who will tell you we did, either. We know that now. We were once like you....thinking we knew everything, we could handle whatever was thrown at us. We were all wrong. Now it's your turn to learn from our mistakes, the way our own elders tried to teach us (and most of us learned). Whether you decide to listen or not is entirely up to you, but whatever happens, YOU are completely responsible for your own actions. Own up to your mistakes. Don't try to blame them on someone or something else.

True, it's your own life, and most of it needs to be learned on your own, but there's no reason you cannot accept guidance along the way from the others who have already been there.

Can't argue with stubborn youth. Its not worth my time. Age and experience.

Any guesses at to why that is?

None of us know everything.

But generally, the older you are the more you know.

At least until your memory starts to fade.

You can lose touch with reality as you get older, as things change. The things someone learnt about relationships, say, in the 1970's, will not necessarily apply to today.

But older people, in general, know more than the younger. You should respect that fact, and if you are clever, you can use it to your advantage.

Might have thought.

And there's no such word as "alot".

They teach you these things in school if you're paying attention.

*shrugs*....like I said, suit yourself, but don't ever say you didn't have options for learning and growth. It's you who chose not to utilize them, so either way, it's all on you. Hell, I'm 42, and I STILL learn new things every day, and many times, it's from an elder.

Figures I would put up something for "younger" people to write opinions about and all the older folks come in and write an opinion...that's f**kin hilarious!!! Haha

Where did you post something for younger people?

It's an open forum for ages 18 years and older, btw.

He killed his original post. But even then, he did ask for opinions, then changed his mind once he got them and they didn't agree with him laugh

This is why it is important to always quote the initial post, only time editing of post should be allowed is if you spelled something incorrectly and, like I do a lot, looked it up and realized this.
