 When your romantic partner tells you you're beautiful/adorable/handsome/very attractive, especially at first, are you inclined to believe them or assume it's just flattery? I had a guy recently tell me that my pictures do not do me justice. I really felt good from him saying it even if it was just flattery. Flattery is always nice to hear. I know if someone goes to far with it though it makes me feel uncomfortable. |

I tend to believe them. Of course it is flattery, but look at me, I am hot.   (Disclaimer-- JUST KIDDING, its a joke folks, I am really sexy!) Yes you are!

I think it depends. Compliments are great and most of us can tell whether someone's sincere or not. But, if it goes over the top, especially at first, then I would assume that person is insincere and act accordingly. I agree if it goes over the top watch out!!! |
