I have rabbits all over in the pastures surrounding me. there are always several in my yard. both cute little cottontails and bigass rangy jackrabbits only problem I have with em is that they attract snakes I never knew that they attract snakes. Interesting. My neighborhood is full of little cottontails. That's what is in my garden. I'm told that moth balls sprinkled around the yard will keep the snakes away.

I have a fenced in garden area in my yard from last year. Today I planted 12 plants of lettuce in it. I then find a baby rabbit's nest in the garden. Inside of the garden!  I guess that I'm feeding baby rabbits now.  The mama rabbit is no dummy. There's food inside of the fence and a dog on the outside of the fence.  Awe... that is so precious.. I have two bunnies myself.. they love to lay out in the sun room and they attract wild bunnies to our yard.. love them! They are smart sneaky creatures! Sorry you have them in the garden though! Ha ha My child was wondering if we could keep one. I don't think so. I do think they're cute. I had them as a child. I almost killed them.  My mom was putting baby powder on my baby brother. Later I imitated my mom and poured Comet all over my rabbits. My mom said that they were making weird noises and couldn't breathe. Not good! My son took his swimmin wit him in his kiddie pool when he was 4. Bless his heart he tried givin it mouth to mouth after he realized it couldn't swim an drowned. True story Ohh...your poor son.

Think the two of you are going to enjoy watching the bunnies grow. Maybe you should have two gardens. One for you and one for the bunnies. I'm thinking about putting fencing around the nest. Yes, my child is enjoying this.

My dog says she can fix this little problem of yours Winx. The bunny's friend is not happy. Maybe we shouldn't have your dog helping out with this, M.Michiganman. The bunny's friend looks kind of mean.  I wouldn't want anything to happen to your dog. |
