Belichick is a genius of a coach............but no personality whatsoever!!!!

But hey - look at my teams coach - Andy Reid.....there may not actually be a more boring man on this planet

No one disputes Belichick is a genius. He's just not a good guy. I've always had a tough time rooting for assholes even when they were associated with a team I like. I do understand allegiance, but if I was a fan of New England I'd show love for Tom Brady and respect for the coach. Belichick is not an easy man to embrace.

As for Andy Reid, I think Philly fans do not realize just how good he is. I'm not surprised. These are the same people that pelted Santa with snow balls.

Man - we Eagle fans will NEVER live that one down. The whole story with that is a lot different then how it is referred to. There was supposed to be some half time show. And the guy portraying Santa was drunk off his rocker......so a few fans threw snowballs at him.

30+ years later - and 0 snowballs thrown at Santa in that time, Eagle fans are known for throwing snowballs at Santa. It is quite hilarious when I think about it.

You know why you can only drink beer from plastic bottles at games now???

Cleveland!!!!

But you never seem to hear anything about that.....plus tons other examples.

But we poor old Philly fans cannot live down something that happened before I was born!!!laugh

As for Reid - I think he is an AWESOME COACH. Always thought that. I've been a Reid and McNabb supporter for years. Never would want to think what the Eagles would've done with Kotite and Detmer if they stayed for more years. We have had it pretty good - haven't won the big game yet but still, it's a lot better then where we were BEFORE they got heredrinker

I do know some of the back story on the drunken Santa. I just always welcome the opportunity to bring it up to a Philly fan. laugh

Oh yeah, thanks for letting Kotite go so the Jets could hire him. He was stellar.... Oh the pain.

That's right.....what was he there?? 1-15 and 3-13 or something like that???

Believe it or not, he actually won a Coach of the Year award with the Eagles. laugh

Yes he was 4-28 in two seasons as the Jets head coach. He may have won coach of the year with Philly, but do I need to remind you of decline the penalty and punt against Atlanta?

I had forgotten about that. Thanks Mitch. I really thought when he declined that penalty that he had balls and was going to go for it. How do you decline it and then PUNT??? What a meathead!!!!

Another one that just blew my mind.......when the Eagles were playing against the Cowgirls and they were in comeback mode....with about 6 minutes left in the game, they scored a TD to make it a 24-13 deficit. So down by 11, you obviously go for a 2-point conversion right???? hahahah - ONLY if you're KOTITE!!!! His whole staff and players were telling him not to and he still did it. But had a GREAT explanation after the game.....see, evidently rain had made his chart all wet and he misread when when an extra point should be kicked and when a two-pointer should be attempted. The question I have is WHY DID HE NEED A CHART TO EXPLAIN THAT TO HIM???? I was like 15 years old and I KNEW!!!

Yes, his head coaching career may have started off well, but it certainly ended badly. He was a knucklehead. If I remember correctly he lost his last 7 games with the Eagles. That means he was 4-31 in his last 35 games as a head coach. laugh

Yes - he started his last season with the Eagles 7-2. Then lost the last 7 games to miss the playoffs. What a hack

And Leon Hess hired him after saying, "I want to win now!"

Ummmm, yeah.... I know a true Jet fan if they've memorized the phrase, "Oh the pain."
