I do not think so...my ex used to tell me I could only say "I love you" three times a day - morning, noon & night. 
I agree that too much affection can get aggravating at times. my daughter tells me I love you 20 times a day it can be annoying. I love her if she tells me 100 but, actions speak louder than words.
