Some men have been raised with misogynisic ideals in religion and traditions.

They see women as only serving a purpose not an object of love and respect.

This is a difficult issue to deal with in relationships because of the depth of the misogyny.

Signs of it are: He will call you stupid and/or crazy when he gets angry. You will notice when he sees women acting "unorthodox" or non traditionslly he will find it disgusting and make statements like "that is why you can't trust women", "all women are crazy", and/or she will be a ***** or whore. If you take the sex, housework and childrearing out of the equation misogynistic men will see no purpose for women.

How do you battle this?

I have found pointing it out helps some. It usually turns into a battle but if all women fight it every time it happens someday men will not have this problem.

You are making as sweeping of a statement about men as you say they are making about women.

I just... dont associate with them, Im not here to convert the natives. There are men out there who are much smarter.

You are right I did make it a generalistic statement. Not meant that way, meant it only as an identity tool for women who do not know what they are dealing with when they see it. I will correct it.

And there are women who are prejudice against other women.

For example, I had a female teacher in high school that said there should never be a woman president. I have also had a woman boss on a job that said she won't hire other women (because she said they weren't as reliable)

Mirror, women can be misogynistic towards other women its because they have usually bought into what the religions and traditions have taught them.

This runs deep in our society, actually our world. Almost all religions teach it. Women teach it to their children male and female.

It can be a real difficult thing for women to deal with in relationships. It is bad for their self esteem in a subconcience way that undermines their self value.

Yep. Friedrich Nietzsche is well known in Philosophy of his famous quote "Man should be educated for war, and woman for the recreation of the warrior; all else is folly... Let woman be a plaything... The happiness of man is: I will. The happiness of woman is: he wills... You are going to woman? Do not forget the whip!" unquote.

So you think man is a metaphorical banana? That to eliminate his misogyny, you must peel layers of layers off his misogynistic shell so you can leave him all buck naked to the cold?

That can be one example of misogyny. But it can be just his traditional view of woman being into what he think is the appropriate gender specific role in the man/woman relationship. Call that misogyny? Some may differ on that.

Women have their own ideological stance too. It is called feminism. And trust me, there are many schools of thoughts within feminism as well.

How can you say it is the "man" problem? Seems to me that they have been dominating the gender war for quite some time.

Women accept it as "the way it is". But it really isn't that at all, it is the way men set it up to be so he would be in the advantageous role.

There are men who recognize this though. They also see the unfair position it puts women in. A woman cannot truly be loved by a man with this problem.

Im not so sure that men actually made it that way in the prehistoric and ancient past. Perhaps nowdays in certain societies But I don't really see hunter/gatherers and nomadic tribes really having much of a choice in gender roles.

Women are not victims. Just weak women.

Some women find their way through the misogyny. Whether it be in relationship, in the workplace, and etc.

At the point of organized religion, it was definitely a set up, one can tell if they read the roles of women in the religious texts.
