I know 2 hetero couple that have been together for years and are not married. It's called common law marriage. That should be good enough for anybody as signing that piece of paper causes problems.
How does that cause problems?

So it seems ever state is jumping on the bang wagon... should gays have the right to be married? why or why not?

It just seems to me that when a person signs that piece of paper then the whole situation changes. It did for me twice.

well according to the Bible it is a union between one man and one woman...so I think no...


but the religion issue is not to make law in the united states

True. And, there are many people who don't believe in God or who aren't Christian. One religious doctrine shouldn't be allowed to force its views on everyone.

Though I do agree that individual churches/religions should be able to decide whether or not they will allow religious ceremonies of gay marriage within their churches. But civilly, it shouldn't be based on religion. And if you take religion out of the equation, then there's no reason why it shouldn't be legal, IMO.
