Try and make your work more interesting. Learn a new skill, or try and get a different position at work that challenges you more.

The main problem is that on one of the machines you enter 1 or 2 for how many panels you want to plate, I was mixing up the numbers, putting in 1 for 2 panels, 2 for 1 panel. I don't even know how I could make such a dumb mistake, but I have.

My mind is so cluttered with thoughts, it's a huge struggle to try to concentrate and focus on what I'm doing, at the same time, I feel rushed, so I rush myself. I try not to let myself get rushed and just focus on what I'm supposed to be doing, but it seems like no matter what I do, nothing works.

Maybe you need to make a new process for the way you go about doing your job. Once you have done something a hundred times you start doing them on autopilot, but when there is detail that has to be spot on you cant rely on it.

That's kinda the problem, I do the same thing, but kinda different for each job. I have to pay attention to detail, but I have trouble doing so.

Could you make a checklist that you can sign off every time? It might prompt you to double check the important things.

Thats the kind of thing i meant by a new process.

you're probably bored.

if you talk to hr and start some counseling to help organize your thoughts it could go a long way to show you're putting in effort and they might even pay for it or your insurance could cover it. and bonus: if an psychologist, psychiatrist or physician diagnoses you with a legitimate problem the company will be less likely to fire you and risk a legal battle.

I can't concentrate at work. I've already had too many write-ups, even a suspension due to making stupid mistakes because I can't seem to pay attention. My mind is constantly cluttered with too many thoughts. I try to "not think" and focus on my work, but it dosen't seem to be working.

What are some things I can do to help strengthen my concentration?

I've tried exercising, get enough sleep, and eating right, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Any suggestions?

Ginkgo Biloba might help, there are several natural supplements that can help. Ginkgo Biloba has always helped me out, but there are many out there.

i have this same problem, as dan said lists do really help keep you on track, when people see my lists they laugh it goes as such
1.wash a load of wash
2. dry a load
3. fold and put away a load

i never put clean the kitchen it reads
kitchen counters
wash dishes
put dishes away
sweep floor
mop floor
the reason being ill put clothes in the wash then my mind wanders and i start weeding go back and do the kitchen floor and forget to dry my clothes.....im tired all the time too even if i sleep not enough or just right or too much... vitamins dont seem to help either..i get worse the more stress i have so i try to do the things first that stress me out or i cant get my mind off of the stress thing to concentrate on the other things i need to do...

What are these "thoughts" that is distracting you from focusing on your job? Don't listen to those suggestions about you having add or whateva.

Yeah I'm always tired too, regardless of how much sleep I get, and vitamins don't sem to be helping.

Everything
Can you be more specific? If you can pinpoint on what it is, then maybe finding a solution will be easy for you to stop the distractions at your job.

You could try meditating, breathing excercizes, therapy, meds..

One thing that helped my concentration was. I downloaded these "relaxing sounds of nature" 9you can probably get them on any sharing site)

I would when i got home, do a few usual things, then instead of tv, and the usual clutter crap, i would lay in my bed, and listen to them in the dark..

sounds of ocean, rainforest, river, waterfall, whales,.. all different ones..

I found i wasnt as interested in work, because i wasnt taking control of my alone time, and doing something to nurture myself, and heal from the usual stresses.

I was refreshed after doin that before bed for a couple hours, and felt much uch better, and more focused. Matter of fact, I think im going to redownload them again. Good reminder!
