anyone else still getting cases near you? There is 20+ schools in NY that has shut down due to swine flu. Its pretty scary, I'm just waiting for the schools to start closing here in NJ, we live really close to NY. scared surprised

It's not very newsworthy anymore in Houston - we seem to be okay.

My son got the flu, and at first the doctor was going to test to see what kind, but decided not to without telling me. Or maybe they just messed up. In either case, the little one is fine, it was a mild case. Down-side is that he has strep throat at the same time! We were both put on TamiFlu for my sake, just in case.

It was hell trying to locate a pharmacy that had the TamiFlu or surgical masks in stock this weekend! People stocked up as a precaution, causing there to be a shortage when someone actually (potentially) came down with it. noway

Its kind hard to stop worrying when you keep seeing it... yeah I know I shouldn't watch the news then but I like to know whats going on in the world.

You can get your information in other forms than sensationalize TV news reports. The internet is good for browsing articles.

I don't know where you got that list, but last I heard there was a death in Michigan.

The Center for Disease Control has the most accurate information in regards to the swine flu.

Because they are a bunch of wusses. Texas came by ours honestly by importing real infected illegal aliens

I live in the Pocono Mtns (PA).. and just found out today that there were 2 confirmed cases in one of our elementary schools. Fortunately both of the children have fully recovered.. and the schools are now alerted to keep an eye out for any others.

I beg your pardon?? huh huh huh

The large majority of those cases in Wisconsin come from in and around the Milwaukee area, a HUGE area for Hispanic peoples and their families. Big surprise there.

"Wusses"? Okay, Mr. Texas, come on up here and spend the winter. Then we'll talk about wusses.
