i dont disagree in a sense of totality. i understand that all situations are different, and that nothing is ever black and white.

im just trying to relate. i couldnt try and be friends with my ex. it would drive me crazy watching some one else date her and kiss her. i needed the finality. but hey, everyones different.

we're all... snowflakes.

right...gotcha once again

i like that, "were all... snowflakes"

nothing will change until the majority of the voters are with you

you won't convince em with anger and militancy. you will convince them with charm and persuasion. as long as the gay community is protesting and angry and alienating the very people they need to convince it ain't gonna happen

because a majority of people (not necessarily my opinion) believe that same sex marriage threatens the integrity of hetero marriage

and all this anger and foot stamping isn't gonna change their opinions. as a religious friend of mine said "you don't change the bible to suit the times. you change the times to suit the bible"

Even if there weren't protesting and anger, I doubt it would change people's minds. Some people are very close minded and want things their way and their way only. That's going to exclude anyone who is different than them, including the gay community having equal rights.

Remember that song, "Ebony and Ivory?"

Can we write a new one, called "Cookies and Cream Yogurt and Rainbow Sherbet?"

That makes sense to me.
