just a question....not being stupid.....but what does memorial day mean to everyone? Because I have no clue

It started as a day to remember, respect and honor our service men and women that have died.

Being a combat decorated vet, memorial day is a day to remember all my comrades in arms that have been lost in war and conflict. And to pay them the respect and gratitude for serving and sacrificing their lives for us, so we can celebrate the freedoms we have here and around the world. If not for these brave men and women; this would be a different world. I salute them with the hard respectful salute quarter down as to never show my palm of my hand because in any conflict or war the united states soldier has ever served in our history- we have never showed our palms in surrender. Remember those that made those sacrifices for you. They never surrendered so you can celebrate your lives and your freedoms. I am reminded every day of my life of those people. From the bullet holes in my body to the american flag never surrender vet plates on my pickup truck. Your freedoms were paved by the american soldier.

Remember that. Remember them.
