and those old songs kust bring back memories of good times

heck i remember buying the new songs on 45s

There are many good songs out there. You just have to know where to find them. Who are some of your favorite singers and groups?

The problem with finding good music is it depends on how much you've been exposed to and like already. The broader your listening base the better chance you have of finding something new you like. Personally, my favorite genre is death metal but there's scant few bands popping up these days I enjoy. Imitation is an unfortunate byproduct of success, and eventually it can be next to impossible to find true originals amongst the sea of replicas. My advice to you is to start poking around in other genres. Rap, jazz, blues... search all over. And check out Pandora.com if you're not aware of it already.
