Differentkindofwench,
OH! I know the answer to this one! (raises hand) I do, because I interpret scripture in context and try to look at the original spiritual meaning of the scripture, rather than just reading the scripture and conforming the lesson to new age doctrine. Sorry if I seem a little on edge (okay, I'm not really sorry), but I am sick of being told in almost every thread where I post scripture, that I am twisting the scripture. And it's not Christians who say it, OH NO! It's Non-Christians and new age Christians (Christians who reject the teaching of Jesus "I am the way, the truth and the life..."). So, please, don't think to lecture me about saying someone is twisting scripture, until you are consistant and say the same thing to everyone who claims I am twisting scripture. |

Differentkindofwench,
bibby7 would be a good place to start your crusade agaisnt accusing someone of "twisting the meaning of scriptures". I'll await your post with bated breath. |

Spider this is in no way an attack.
I am quite curious. Are you a truely a christian? You said you interpret the scriptures. Are you then a scribe, priest or Pharisee? |

AdventureBegins,
I am a Christian. All Christians are ministers and interpret the scriptures with the help of the Holy Spirit. |

Well damn son, what are you baiting you breath with? It was proven last
night in the Adam and Eve thread who twists or changes scripture to fit his needs. That I am the way and the light part - News Flash, that was not I repeat NOT written in reference to your self-indulgent belief that your personal belief is the Right, only, and/or proper one. |

Differentkindofwench,
Yes, I know. All Christian religions twist the Bible and only AdventureBegins is right. I guess I should take Jesus' advice in Matthew 7:6 and walk away from these forums. |

AB can be wrong, at times..But he is consistent, and does not do the
chamaeleon.. |

Should I bark or Oink.
But another way of looking at it is that we asked for bread and were given a stone. While a stone may fill my belly it hurts my throat and I cannot process it to glean the good from the excrement. I must travial in pain to pass it when next I take a dump. Once again sir I thank you for the blessing. I pray that that same lord whose name drops from you lips in every moment will enter into you heart and lift you up. |

AB makes a lot of sense to me, and is very intelligent. I may not be on
the same path as the rest of the world but ones faith and beliefs are never wrong |

My faith and beliefs say "YOU are wrong". But according to your statement, "ones faith and beliefs are never wrong". By your own statement, my beliefs are right, which means yours are wrong, which means that mine might be wrong, which means your might be right, if you are right, then that means my beliefs are right, which means that yours are wrong, which means that mine might be wrong, which means your might be right, if you are right, then that means my beliefs are right, which means that yours are wrong...Do you get the point? My guess would be no. |

ChubbyCherubPoet,
You and many of the other people here have to realize that all beliefs cannot be the truth. Now you can choose to write off Christianity if you want and decide to accept all others. But if you choose to be a Christian, one of the basic tenets is that Jesus is the only way to the Father. I can't make the choice for you. I don't want to force my beliefs on you in any way, but you have to realize that there is a choice to be made. As the prophet said, "choose you this day whom ye will serve;... As for Me and My House, We Will Serve the Lord". |

That is what is known a circular logic.
It has no bearing. Your faith and your path are right for you. Her faith and her path is right for her. In the end what will matter for each of you is the destination. The destination is infinate. Within that destination are many mansions. Many more than a single person can count are the rooms. Each will have upon their fruits that which will suit them within the measure of their cup. What does it matter if your faith fits not hers. Her mansion will only touch yours where the two coincide. If they have no points of simularity you will not see her again. There is no need to think in circles the answer is in front of your eyes in the very book you quote. |
