I have this in my profile....just wonder if I will get any input
Tristan A girl was calling to him in the distance, but he didn't know who she was. he had seen her in his dreams, though not this close up. He roamed blindly through the fog to her, stopping only in reaching distance. " Tristan," she called to him, throwing out her arms as though to embrace him. But just as quickly, her arms dropped and terror entered her enormous, gray-green eyes. Then he saw it, saw them. Two men were fighting each other and swords swung relentlessly, as metal clashed against metal. The stronger of the two, had midnight black hair, a sharp angular face and cold eyes scoffed, " Give it up, Drake! The prophesy will fail and your pathetic kingdom of GwynTara will be mine." A wicked gleam entered his, dark, black eyes. " Everything will be mine." " The prophesy will not fail," Nikolas Drake defended, " and you will have nothing. The pure blooded twins will come and stop you." Silas glared at his cousin with a narrowed gaze and scorned, " For thousands of years you searched for the ' chosen' ones, but they never come. There is no such thing as purebloods anymore and there hasn't been twins for nearly five hundred of those years." He caught sight of the girland smiled wickedly, showing sharp teeth. he was standing behind her the next moment, holding her tight against him and tilted her head roughly with a heavy hand. His bulky fingers snaked around the nape of her neck. Nikolas gaped at his cousin in horror and vigorously shook his head. A look of torture entered his pale face, and he whispered desperately, " No, Silas, don't do it." Ignoring him, Silas peered at Tristan with a slow, mocking smile and opened his mouth wide. He held the girl tighter against him and drew his head back, his fangs detracting visibly. " Nooooooooo!" the boy cried in despair, as Silas was about to sink his teeth into the whimpering girl's neck. Tristan jumped out of his reverie, his breathing becoming labored. He looked around and noticed he was still in his father's old, red Sedan heading toward a large wooden sign that read: Welcome to Abbott. " Are you alright?" Ryan Prescott asked with concern. He looked back at the road and tightened his hands on the steering wheel. The boy nodded without a word and glanced at his sister in the backseat. He knew she wondered what was wrong, even without reading her mind. Then he looked out the window to see a strangely familiar man walking down the sidewalk with is dark head down. " Laslov?" he whispered, low enough for his father not to hear him. Tristan found himself gaping at the man he had seen before. He peered away from him quickly when the dark haired man shifted his icy gaze toward him. Something flickered in those impassive eyes, even though his chalky white face remained unchanged. Laslov looked at the child in the backseat curiously, sensing something in her too. " Who's that man?" Heidi asked and started out the window. Ryan glanced around, but saw nothing. He looked at where his daughter was pointing and asked, " I don't see anyone. What man, Honey?" Instead of persisting on the man he turned into a circular driveway. " Looks like this is it, guys." He got out of the car and peered up at the large Victorian house. It looked warn and weary. Taking his sister from the backseat, Tristan held her in his arms anbd, he too, gaped at the house. he roamed closer to the building he had seen before, noticing that Heidi was clinging to him and finally responded, " Dad, are you sure this is the right place?" Once again he looked toward the house that seemed familiar to him now. " Of course this is the right place, Son. I got a great deal on the house." He talked about the realtor, and that the house had been abandoned for months, left untouched. Ryan seemed unfazed by its haunting aminosity and carried boxes in from the car. Tristan lowered his sister to the ground, because his muscles ached for relief, and frowned. Why did they move here? he knew they wouldn't be safe anywhere. He looked at the packed boxes and frowned deeper. " Tristan," a willowy voice called. He glanced around nervously and asked, " What is it, Heidi?" When the boy turned to his little sister, he noticed that she peered up ay him curiously. Tristan looked where she was pointing ans saw Laslov striding toward them. Smiling at the two children, laslov whipped his dark glasses off and murmured, " Tristan, I know what you must think of me but-" " You have no idea what I think." He balled his hands into tight fists and glared at him. " You don't know me." Laslov's mouth twitched slightly. " Oh, on the contrary. I know a great deal about you and your..." his ice blue gaze flicked to the little girl, " family. Speaking of which, I almost forgot to welcome you and your father to town." Before the boy could say a word, Laslov was at the massive front door, but he didn't go in. Ryan nearly knocked into him at the door and looked at the other man curiously. He thought he looked a little pale and rather thin. Glancing at his children he turned back to him and inquired, " Can I help you?" " Forgive me, my name is Laslov Krychek and I hope you like it here," he greeted smoothly, his accent visible. " Well, thank you for welcoming us. I thought the welcoming committee was going to show up tomorrow." Ryan laughed at his own joke, noticing that the other man smirked slightly. " Why don't you come in and have some coffee, Mr. Krychek?" A cold chill coured through tristan when he heard his father invite the manipulative bloodsucker into the house....Manipulative bloodsucker? Where did that come from, he wondered. Llaslov grinned back at the boy with smug satisfaction, his dull eyes brightening with delight. he turned back to Ryan and responded lightly, " I thought you would never ask." |
