You can’t keep me down although you have tried
You see I am God’s purpose personified
I was built for the struggle I am mentally strong
You thought I was out for the count, hmp, you thought wrong

You can’t keep me down the plan is in place
Move out of my way, give me room and more space
Greatness is my destiny, it has been chosen for me
If you had taken the time to look it would’ve been plain to see

You can’t keep me down I’ve wasted too much time on you already
The plans He has for me are sure and rock steady
They expand beyond the universe of my mind
So please don’t hate, if you would be so kind

You can’t keep me down I am for the real no more fakes
We both know He makes no mistakes
I am God’s creation His thought made flesh
Look at what He’s done with what you thought was a mess

You can’t keep me down though you have seen my struggle
My life and self esteem in a heap of pain and rubble
But all of that was smoke and mirrors to make me doubt
Trying to keep things murky so I couldn’t see my way out

You can’t keep me down because The Light that has shined my whole life through
Guided me out of the chaos and has allowed me to see you
For whom you are and for what you have tried to be
A friend you said you were but I recognize you as the enemy

You can’t keep me down your cover has been blown
I see you for what you are but I guess I should have known
See you had me fooled for a moment but that is in the past
I am coming into my own, taking my place at last

You can’t keep me down I do “me” way too well
I know you don’t like it and think my head is about to swell
But that is why you can do “you” the way you do and I can do “me”
Don’t get mad just because I do “me” so darn fab-u-lous-ly

I love this!!! So many favorite lines, I will just pick one:

and the ending is PERFECT!!!
