St. Louis had its first swine flu death.frown

He was 44 years old. He had visited Mexico.

Missouri has 20 confirmed cases of swine flu, including five in St. Louis County and three in St. Charles County.
St. Charles County is just outside of St. Louis County.

Man, this is pretty sad. New diseases and symptoms develop with every passing of a new year or generation. I hope the swine flu gets handled fast.

Swine flu has been confirmed in more than 9,830 people in at least 40 countries, with most of the cases in Mexico and the U.S. That figure does not include Taiwan which reported its first confirmed case on Wednesday. The global death toll was at least 83 — 74 in Mexico, seven in the U.S., one in Canada and one in Costa Rica.
