Darkness falls upon the land, and I think of him, my mind... quick sand. Falling, falling to a point and place, lost in time in his embrace. Dreaming of what could have been, if only we could have gone back to then. Then... a time when I could easily leap with faith filled eyes, no tears upon my cheek.

Today, so different yet I yearn for more... my heart just as dream filled as before. I welcome my dreams as I try to rest, I hold a blanket firmly wishing it were his caress... his lingering lips... his bald head.... lying next to mine upon this lonely bed. Ahhhh how my heart reminds me so.... of this one love... this special soul. Lying dormant upon my frail heart, his last words before we part... his sad expression when I had to leave...I felt my heart drop to my knee... my joy comes from his smiling face, and to think I feared the longing I wanted to erase.

How sad I am when there is no reply, yet I understand and I don't ask why. One day the sun is sure to rise, one day I know there will come a surprise. So as I hold my blanket tight, and send a sweet kiss to travel through tonight... to land oh so gently upon his face... angels sing for the right time and place... as I slumber they will prepare...his ears to hear my words in prayer... his heart to know my love is true...I fare thee well and bid adieu... until we meet once again... I'll dream of him and trust there's a greater plan.

For tonight I send him a star, a kiss to remember who we both are. The music of my heart rings true, as I toss and turn thinking of one love so true... a candle flickering, as the waves passionately dance, and in this dream we have a chance. Passion lingers, fears all fade, when the time is right there comes a day... love beats the odds and fears subside...
