I heard that muriatic acid is pretty nasty stuff. After all- they use it to kill off germs and mildew from forming in your pool, so it MUST be some hardcore stuff, right?

Nitric doesn't really cause burns, just discolors your skin. Sulfuric acid on the other hand does cause chemical burns, and sucks a great deal from what I have read.
