I think that is more true than false. Like takes to like as they say. I think the traits we display, sense of humour, etc attracts the same.

scent..has to do with scent, we attract the people that smell different from us as a result of biological evolution, was necessary for survival when we were living in the caves...i.e. family members have same scent, thus repel..-- info from discovery channel..also...during womens fertile period/ovulation..they are attracted to the alpha male and alpha man scent...outside those periods..attracted to the non-alphas..as for men...its purely vaginal secretion that they're attracted too
