so I have a question.... If the speakers go out in a plasma, how do you fix them?

(((Mark)))

It rumbles when music from shows or commercials plays, it's like the bass is shot or something but I don't know if that can happen.. It seems to be only one side of the speakers...

I don't have an extended warranty and it's of course just over the 1 yr point... grumble

visual inspection first. If the speakers are cracked, or separated from the buffer foam, (or pleats) you can smear that with silicone. If there is no visual damage, then likely the voice coil is bad..can you swap them? and does the problem move?

If the integrated speakers on your plasma screen go out, well you might be boned. You'd have to contact the manufacturer of your unit to see if they do out-of-warranty repairs.

Either that or invest in some external speakers and use THEM instead. Depending on the unit you bought, you'd probably have to get a pre-amp and or surround-sound decoder as well.

I don't think I can get into the speakers... The problem doesn't move it's in the right speaker and it doesn't happen when people are just talking on the tv, only during something with bass.. I could be totally off but it sounds like bass b/c of what I've heard when my kids put the bass too high in the car....

Two speakers, right? they should be connected with spade terminals..you should be able to unplug one and the other and swap the wires..if the problem doesn't move, it's the speaker...and i would bet it is.

Um where do I find the wires? Aren't they inside the tv? Am I going to have to get a screwdriver?

These are the times being single sucks... Oh and when I need an oil change...
