How long would you be single and mingling before you just called it a day and decided to give it up?
Is there any length of time upon where you would just be embarrassed to still be here? (not for you lovely couples who stick around for friends!) |

I had given up when I came here. Another widowed friend told me to come here, insisted actually, saying it was a great place to hang out and make friends. But you just never know what will happen.

Maybe some day things will be different and turn around and start to look up. But for now it's giving. |

(not for you lovely couples who stick around for friends!) I don't think the whole concept of embarrassment figures into the equation for me. I like it here, regardless. And it's not exactly a secret that I can't find anyone even remotely compatible.... I gave up on relationships and dating a long time ago. Doesn't mean I have to give up on this site.... |

I had just about given up before coming here. My tastes and preferences are a hard thing to meet. So I limited my self. I thought for once in my life I will have what I want. and not settle. And if I find it great . And if I don't? oh well.... Have I given up here... you would be surprised to know... lollipops for all.

I think most have given up on datting sites. There are over a couple hundred people on this forum and some that are just shadows. i only come on here to chat with some friends and sometimes on the way, ill make another friend. There is all kinds of reasons why people are here, but in reality. Most are here just to chat.

I don't think there's anything to be embarrassed about, being out here. I know that some view being single as a bad thing, but I've never thought of it as such. *shrug* Should I still be out here posting 5 years from now, I'll just credit it on the great people out here and the entertainment value of the personality mix :)
